Princess Aibí Farraige Rí (Michiru Kaiou) of Vaporium was born in a truly strict, traditionalist home. Her father has a hatred of the surface world born of childhood trauma and his mother leaving his father for a surface man. Her mother the Queen is a more understanding soul, and had heard the real story of his parents from her own.
And so Aibí grew on the horror stories of her father and the more favorable tales of her mother.
In the end, Aibí being a stubborn girl, decided to see for herself what the world of the surface was like. Breaking the surface of the water, she saw the person of her dreams standing tall on an airship landing at port. She determined she would marry that person - as she had years ago when the dreams of the Airship Captain first began. In a sequence worthy of song, the 'Courtship of Captain Anima deViento (Phell Wybren'Brenin/Haruka Tenou)' had begun.
And through the courtship, marriage, and first two children in secret, Aibí hoped as her mother did that her father could be convinced of the error of his ways. And so Aibí refrained from doing an act most vile that had sat darkening on the corner of her heart - after all, if her father were dead and she Queen, would she not be able to live with Phell as she chose?
Those hopes were dashed not long after the birth of Éadrom. Returning from the "la Furia del Mar", Phell's ship, with their son and second child Muir Dragain, Aibí was spotted by spies of her furious father. Barely escaping war being declared outright on the Kingdom of Nubium, Nubium ships were put under heavy tariffs and the rights of Nubium citizens in Vaporium all but revoked.
Aibí then heard of her father's "generous" bargain with Phell and almost fell to despair. However, in secret letters the Queen still allowed through, Phell and Aibí devised the plan to fool her father into thinking he'd gotten his way.
Unfortunately, these turns of events have not quelled the darkness in Aibí's heart - and the urge to murder her father is rising....
